Akash Bajaj, MD, MPH

Pain Management Specialist

Dr. Bajaj completed his undergraduate studies at UCSD, graduating summa cum laude and is a member of the prestigious Phi Beta Kappa & Golden Key Honor societies. He then went on to simultaneously earn his M.D. and a Master’s degree in Public Health (M.P.H.) from the New York Medical College. He then served a residency in Anesthesiology at UCLA Medical Center. While at UCLA, he pioneered the development of audio and visual distractions during O.R. Anesthesia as a novel adjunct to administering Anesthesia, and alleviating acute painful states. Choosing then to sub-specialize in pain medicine, he completed an Interventional Pain Medicine Fellowship at the prestigious University of California San Francisco, selected as one of only five fellows, graduating in 2006. His lectures have been heard nationally on CBS Radio, as well as UCLA, and UCSF.

Dr. Bajaj is Double Board Certified in Anesthesia and Pain Management and a diplomate of the American Board of Anti Aging Medicine.

Leia Rispoli, MD

Pain Management Specialist

Dr. Leia Rispoli completed her undergraduate degree at Rutgers University, where she served as Co-Captan for the Division-1 Women’s Soccer team, graduating as National Athletic Honor Society member for four consecutive years. She then went on to earn her M.D. at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School, treating an underserved population in Newark, NJ. Dr. Rispoli then completed a residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at New York Presbyterian Hospital Weill Cornell Medical Center/Columbia Presbyterian Hospital in New York, New York, where she decided to sub-specialized in pain medicine. She continued her training in New York City and completed an Interventional Pain Medicine Fellowship at the GME accredited Tri-Institutional New York Presbyterian Hospital program, which included training at prestigious hospitals: Weill Cornell Medical Center, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, and Hospital for Special Surgery. There she received focused training in Neuromodulation techniques, ultrasound-guided interventions, and Cancer-related pain. Dr. Rispoli is double board-certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and Pain Management.

Evan Hendricks, PA-C

Physician Assistant

Evan Hendriks, is a board-certified Physician Assistant here at Remedy Pain Solutions. Originally from South Dakota, he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences from Arizona State University (go Sun Devils) before pursuing his Master of Science degree in Physician Assistant Studies from Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, California. With ample experience in orthopedics, spine surgery, and interventional pain management, Evan is incredibly experienced and highly involved in patient care at our clinic in Marina Del Rey. In his free time, Evan enjoys traveling, attending concerts and sporting events, and spending time with friends and family. He’ll be quick to tell you about the Chicago Cubs, Game of Thrones, and good ol’ Midwestern beef.
